Swimming as a mermaid is a magical form of exercise. We help children and adults fulfill their dreams of becoming a mermaid or merman. It is a truly incredible experience that can enhance the body, mind, and spirit. It encourages everyone to feel good about themselves, exercising in a fun, fantastic environment, wearing a beautiful tail.

The mermaid experience class is an entry level program for everyone who wants to try out swimming in a tail for the very first time. We meet in the Humarine shop and prepare you for a magical transformation. That includes choosing your mermaid costume: tail, crown and underwater makeup. Depending on your age and comfort level, the class can take place in the swimming pool or in the ocean. First we enter the water with the monofin. Our mermaid instructor will make you feel relaxed in the water, teach some breathing techniques and the dolphin kick. Once you feel one with the water, you exchange your legs for a tail. The instructor will capture your mermaid experience on video with a gopro.

During this course you will learn:

  • The dolphin kick and swim in a mermaid tail
  • How to blow bubble kisses and bubble rings
  • Fun mermaid tricks

  • The minimum age for the participants is 6 years.
