Freedive Photography Course (2 Days)

Are you more into diving freely with no equipment and the purest combination of just you, your camera and the ocean? Freedive photography is VERY different from scuba photography. We are obviously diving on a single breath, so our time is very much limited. The techniques used are also very different. This course can be either focused on shooting marine life or shooting humarines. Both types of photography will require similar freediving skills, however will be performed differently. Marine life can be shot on a fish eye or a macro lens, whereas humarines should be shot on a rectilinear lens.

If you are all for marine life, well great! The critters will be less scared because free dive is totally bubble free and silent. Are you keen to shoot models? Well fantastic! Through the course you will learn how to create a concept and shoot it artistically. You will also learn breath up techniques, how to free dive safely and move efficiently underwater.

During the very first day we will go through a morning theoretical lesson and on the afternoon we will jump into a freediving line to learn how to move efficiently. At the end of the freedive session you will start shooting with your cameras. Next day you will perform a morning freedive photo session shooting marine life. On the afternoon we will revise the images and go through a post processing workshop. On the third and last day we will have a underwater photo session shooting a humarine. Photography sessions of day 2 and 3 are up to change, depending on your photography preferences (marine life or humarines).

At all moments your photo pro instructor will be guiding you, both on land and underwater.

This course is designed for someone who already has some experience of underwater photography, otherwise we recommend taking the Intro to Underwater Photography Course.

We offer the possibility of renting a professional DSLR underwater system composed by:
